AhlulBayt News Agency - The mayor of Jalawla district reported on Sunday, July 3rd, that hundreds of displaced families have recently returned to their homes in the district.
The official said that 600 displaced families have recently returned to their homes in Jalawla district, noting that more than 7,000 families have returned to the district since it has been liberated from the ISIS militants.
Jalawla district is located in the north of Diyala province in Iraq. It was taken over by the IS militants in 2014 and Iraqi forces later recaptured it on November 22, 2014.
